4/3/2023 0 Comments Conan exiles armor for volcanoI personally recommend heavy armor all around. But the significant increase in physical damage reduction by the armor points more than makes up for it. Heavy armor removes the full-roll style dodge, instead changing it to a sort of 'hop' that covers less distance. You'll have to find the attribute you're lacking in, or need/want more of to really pick a set. Some will provide encumbrance, some agility, etc. Light armor obviously provides the least in armor protection but also weighs the least, while medium and heavy armor provides considerably larger armor values (physical damage reduction, you can see it in the Stats tab) yet their effect on your encumbrance increases and allows you to carry less when gathering or exploring.ĭifferent armor SETS (again, not just TYPE) provide different attribute bonuses. Temperature protection changes depending on which SET you wear, not just the TYPE (light, medium heavy) What is the difference between the armor types? A friend of mine crafted a medium armor, and he can do the same amount of slashes/dodges like me, but has a better armor value. I wear light armor, because I hoped it would give me a stamina advantage. Originally posted by Skali:I'm new to the game, sorry for the noob question. Take a bow for puzzles and a cleaver to harvest his meat (some of the best health food ingame) When you kill the boss, get the recipe book from his pool. If you like the idea of daggers or sword, early game I highly recommend you run The Dreggs dungeon first. There is no reason you can't run with multiple setups too, one of my favourite combos is Heavy armour, with a spear, secondary daggers to let me backflip. Perhaps others can give you feedback on their favourite setups and why, it really is subjective and I highly recommend you try them all out. Both you and the enemy get stunned when they hit your shield, it takes good timing to rally back first.Īrmour - Heavy, since you don't need to roll Makes healing easier, replaces a lot of the need to dodge.Ĭons - Not a massive damage output as this technique tends to spend a lot of its time on the defense. Pros - Same for all one handed weapons, the ability to raise a shield and defend most attacks has a lot of advantages. Excellent range for keeping larger enemies at bay.Īrmour - Medium, you'll need the roll to keep distance and maintain weapon advantage. Pros- Great for targetting a specific enemy in a crowd. They are the only weapon that swaps out Kick/Block for a lengthy backflip, the only fast evasion technique for heavy weight armour.Īrmour - Heavy, be sure to map 'Block' keybind for frequent use, as your backflip/evasion. Pros - Incredibly fast attack and causes 'Bleed', Bleed can be stacked up to 20 times and slowly causes ongoing health loss. I can list a few of my favourites and tie them in with what armour weight I would take There will definitely be people with a lot more knowledge than me and to be fair the weapons system (excluding bows) is really well done, to the point that each type have their own advantages and feel. Together with some one (or some more people, or alone) So what,s something good to work towards with, i like to explore everything eventually. I play solo all the the time (since i don't have anyone to play with) so and i haven't ran any dungeons yet because i,m busy with building a base currently, but i like to know what,s best to gear at and work towards a good weapon and armor combo to eventually run those dungeons. "What weapon set you use, your tactics, combined with your build type will probably have a big impact on what armour is best for you."Įxcuse me for asking about your expertise, but do you know what a good (or the best) combo (weapon / armor ) might be.? I didn't know about this.you learn something new every day What weapon set you use, your tactics, combined with your build type will probably have a big impact on what armour is best for you. There is also the climbing impact, there is a perk to lower the class impact by one level, though as said, you can just get naked in most situations if you need to. If you use daggers, you can backflip regardless of armour class, I even take daggers as a second hotbar weapon and will switch to them for a planned evasion. They will all use 30% of your stamina to do, there is a perk to allow more rolls.
